After the death and burial of the Lord Jesus, two of his disciples were walking to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. As they walked along the way, they conversed with one another about the heartache they were experiencing concerning the decease of their Lord. All of their hopes, all of their dreams, everything they believed seemed to have been stripped from them. Reports from their friends have been declaring that Jesus is alive and have even been seen by some. Even though they love their friends, the discouragement was so deep that they could not bring themselves to accept these testimonies.
Suddenly, Jesus himself began walking with them. He took the Word of God and revealed Himself to them. As he began opening the scriptures, their hearts began to burn within themselves. They began to believe again! They began to Hope again! Faith began to rise and a white hot expectation of God’s goodness began to spring up with them!
Jesus changed their lives with His Word within a seven mile walk. What seemed dead to them, became alive on a seven mile journey. Perhaps you are living in disappointment. Maybe what was burning within you at one time seems to be snuffed out at the moment. Whatever situation you are in, Jesus is the answer. When there seems to be no hope, Jesus can ignite a greater hope within you than you could ever imagine. This is what 7 Mile Ministry is all about; bringing a message of Hope to people that have lost their Hope, establishing a foundation of the Word based on the finished work of the Lord Jesus, and building a strong relationship with the Lord and with one another.
